It’s not about how much you spend – it’s about quality connection.

It’s rather sad when people sometimes feel that their love alone is not enough and that they have to give ‘big stuff’ to express their love.

Self-worth often lies behind this over-spending issue. Yes, we can feel good about ourselves when we give our friends and loved ones expensive gifts – and so we can easily use our credit cards to drive us further into debt. At this time, it’s good to remember that lasting value is experienced by both the giver and receiver in the quality of our connection and sharing with people. So, rather treat them with thoughtful attention – holding them in a loving heart.
